Mage::Camp in London
Visions at Mage::Camp London (28-30th April)Hannover, 31 March 2009. Alexander Ringsdorff, Visions' CEO, will present two sessions on Enterprise Magento Integration at Mage::Camp 2009 in London. Mage::Camp is the first official Magento event in the UK and will take place between the 28th and 30th of April, offering visitors to the Internet World 2009 exhibition the opportunity to learn more about Magento and providing network opportunities for the Magento community. With over 300 exhibitors, Internet World is Europe's largest and best-attended event for online business. Visions supports Mage::Camp as a Plantium Sponsor and will be available on site throughout the three days to provide further information - be it guidance on prospective Magento implementations or to deliver insight into Visions' successful enterprise-grade deployments.
Alexander's presentation, held at 3pm on both 29th and 30th April, will focus on the potential - and the challenges - of large-scale Magento projects. Drawing on Visions' experience with some of the largest Magento deployments in the European market, topics include the key decision factors for Magento, integration of ERP systems such as SAP, PCI compliance and multi-store deployments. Visions' innovative solutions to performance and scalability problems will also be addressed, as well as development processes that facilitate client participation.
Roy Rubin, founder and CEO of Varien, the company behind Magento, will hold a keynote on current developments and future plans of the world's fastest-growing e-commerce platform. Paul Chudleigh, mydeco's CTO, will provide a client's perspective on the mydeco basket deployment; delivered by Visions, the basket is tightly integrated with mydeco's main site and features a range of very interesting back-end enhancements built on top of the core platform. These enhancements, for example, allow third-party merchants and designers to work securely and independently within the Magento administration panel. Adam Martin, CTO of Magento agency On Tap that organises the Mage::Camp event, will deliver insight into extension development best-practices targeted at developers. Other interesting sessions - ranging from case studies to guided tours of the Magento interface - round off the event.
A live stream of all Mage::Camp presentations and plenary sessions will be available at www.magecamp.com throughout the event.
